What kind of stroller should I buy - sit n stand or double stroller?
My baby is due in Dec and my son will turn 5 in April - should I get the sit n stand or go for a double stroller - I saw that Graco makes a double where the front seat has no tray and my 5 yr old would be able to get in and out by himself (which is what I would prefer)
If anyone was in a similar situation, what did you do? or, if you have a 5 yr old, do you use a stroller at the mall still or only when going to amusement parks or things like that? Please help - and please no sarcasm - looking for honest answers - Thanks!

We got a Joovy caboose. It can accomodate an infant seat and then a toddler. The older child can sit or stand in the back. It is very easy for the older child to get in or out by himself. If the older child is not riding, then you have more storage space.
It also in not as long as the double strollers. The Graco is like driving a bus. This one is not any longer that my single stroller.
My kids (2 and 5)and I love it!

I used to work in a baby boutique, I personally don't think a 5 year old needs a stroller, but here is the question we always asked:
Does the older child still fall asleep in the stroller?
If yes- get a double. Sit and stands don't have correct support for sleeping in.
If no- get a sit and stand.
Just remember the more activity a 5 year old gets the better they will sleep at night and the less chance they will have to have weight problems. I personally don't even use a stroller for my 15 month old, he gets more energy out by running around.

With a 5 yr old I would definitely go for the sit n stand. He might be too big for the seat in a stroller and also might feel like riding in the seat is too much of a 'baby' thing to do.

I'd do a sit and stand, only because it gives the older child a few more options than just sitting or getting out to walk. They can stand up on the seat and be higher, stand forward or backward, sit either way, etc. My daughter is almost 4, and she walks everywhere unless it's a trip to the zoo, or a walk around the block, etc - if it's just a quick trip to the store or something I put the little one in her umbrella stroller and the older one just walks. Good luck with the baby! :)

I'm not sure what a sit 'n stand is but I used a double stroller for my younger children. It was hard to maneuver in the mall and stores, etc. and very bulky and hard to fold up/load up. I have a 4 and 3 year old and none of them like to ride in the stroller. I got one of those baby harnesses that you strap around their chests and it has a "leash" type thing that attaches to the back. It gives them their freedom but also gives you peace of mind that they can't get away from you. Only you know what works best for your situation but you may check those out.

Get the double stoller they are great if you have a older child and a baby . My cousin has 2 boys and she uses the double stroller when she is going anywhere . I hope this helps.

i think the 5 yo would spend more time walking. i would get the sit and stand thing for occasional use.
my son prefered to walk from 2, but my nephew prefered to sit until 5!
the single buggy is much easier to steer and fit through doorwayss too.

I would get the sit and stand he can get out way easier and wont feel like a baby! You can show him how he has his own special seat :) Good Luck!!

I would get a sit and stand, because it would fit the child better. And it will alo fit him as he grows.
