The 1999 chevy blazer has a delco theft lock radio. The only way this radio will lock when removed from power is a code has to be installed in the radio. With the key on radio off push and hold the 1 & 4 buttons on the radio. If you see the letters SEC on the radio screen it has a code installed. If you see - - - on the radio screen it has no code installed and you can remove it with no problem.Any other questions please email me.Best of luck.

Some people smoke some funny stuff and make these claims to make themselves important. If this was true this group would be loaded with questions about how to get their car started. Get a quality radio and get the adaptor kit that allows you to plug into the harness without cutting anything.
