What do you know about the Bear Creek area of Houston 77084?
I've read some info at http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AgvTS... and people show mixed feeling about this area. I can see the convenience to major thoroughfares. However, I can't find it on Houston Crime Maps (http://www.houstoncrimemaps.com/neighborhood/) because it's not part of the Super Neighborhoods in Houston. What can you tell me if this is a good area to live and why?
Please tell me anything about the neighborhoods like Bear Creek Village, Glencairn Village, Village of Langham Creek, Westglen, Windsong, Hearthstone, Crossing At Stone Creek, Northglen, Westbend, Pine Forest Village, Charlestown Colony, Pine Forest Village, Westminster Village, Stone Creek, Yorktown Colony, and Mayde Creek Farms.

I saw the other responses about Katy and I agree about the schools which, in turn, affects resale. I have children, so if I had to move around that area, I would move to the Cinco Ranch area of Katy and make sure my address was zoned to Fielder Elementary. Cinco Ranch HS is supposed to be one of the best!

I've never lived there but a friend of mine bought a new house in Villages of Bear Creek and wishes she had bought a house further over to be in Katy ISD. She used to live in a neighborhood closer to town and moved to Bear Creek for better Cy-Fair schools but apparently she wasn't pleased with the caliber of students in her area of Bear Creek.

First of all its prone to flooding. Its right in the area of the Addicks Res.
It's not the nicest of areas and has a high crime rate that is slightly higher then average.
The other poster is right. Moving a few miles west puts you in the Katy School District which is one of the best in Texas.
Don't be deceived by the map. There is a lot of congestion on Clay and 6. Esp at peak hours.
You will find it easier to sell your house further west then there.
Welcome to Houston

I live in the same zip code as you. My daughter goes to Calvin Nelms, and likes it
