1 AnswerRenting & Real Estate1 decade agoWhat kind of snack can I offer to someone with diabetes?
Few co-workers were very nice to me, I wanted to show them my appreciations. I'd offer cookies, cakes or fruits to non-diabetes people. But I know this is tricky. What should I offer them as an appreciation, something edible and inexpensive.

I don't intend to be a Realtor. But I want to understand the terms in a real estate contract. I've heard there are so many terms can be confusing, like, loan origination fee, funding fee, closing cost, transfer tax, recording fees, discount points, origination points...
Is there a book or website to help buyers to understand those terms?

3 AnswersHouston1 decade agoShould I worry if someone does both real estate and in-house mortgage dept from same office?
I spoke to a real estate company in Houston who is a "one-stop shop" for real estate - from getting financed to closing the real estate transaction. And, they use Countrywide Bank as their primary lending partner. I've heard the public opinions about Countrywide. I just not sure if I should choose this company or seek help elsewhere.
I also posted a question in Real Estate category. It went nowhere. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Anjt....

Should I use a one-stop broker who handles mortgage and real estate, in Houston? Then, they also use Countrywide Bank as their primary lending partner. Should I go with that company?

36 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoWho can I report to when a delivery truck left engine on for over an hour?
It's not my business but I don't like when people intentionally wasting gas. It's not my money but it's the world's gas supply running low because this fool decided to let the engine running while doing his furniture delivery. I noted the time he parked to the time he left - exactly 1 hour 14 minutes. I couldn't stop noticing because he parked next to my living room window.
So, my question is, who can I report this to?
