I never read the asker's profile before answering, but when I see an interesting answer I always read that person's.

I can honestly say i never look at the profile before but I have checked one profile afterwards as they were basically asking how to commit suicide and I wanted to see what other types of questions they were asking. I was pretty horrified

I always do if I want mine to be the best answer. I often read the askers' background within their Q&A, then I'll answer it according to the questions. I wouldn't want people give me short answers on my questions.

Then again, if I want my 2 points, I just answer them blindly.

If I suspect some guy asking question under pretex of gal or vice versa, I check profile and caution him/her. I take care that this forum is not misused.

I read it if it is a dodgy question and I'n going to report it.

Often level one with only a few points and they put stuff up that young kids should not read.

    Otherwise not that often.
