  • A woman says, "Oh well, my boyfriend still likes me (so I'll continue to go out with him)..."?

Exactly what does this imply? A lack of self-confidence? All possibilities accepted.

  • Internet Explorer 7.xx Bookmark Chaos?

My bookmarks have fallen into inexcusable chaos in the browser. Folders are all tangled up with links. When I view the bookmarks in file manager, everything is nicely organized. Is there a way that I can fix this without doing it the painful manual way and moving one at a time? Can I purge them from the browser and have it reload them? Thank you!

  • Facebook Bookmarks How-To?

Is it possible to add multiple bookmarks on the bottom of the Facebook page? I can only seem to add one. Can it be expanded so that 4 or 5 bookmarks can be shown? I'm assuming that it can but, I don't know where the option is for that.

    Thank You

  • Facebook security question?

This will be an easy one. When someone shows up in a comment field on Facebook and their name appears in black so you cannot click on them and visit their page is that a block on you or just privacy settings?

  • Wood cutting question?

I have a door to a bird coup that meets flush with a shelf at a 90 degree angle. The door is on hinges. To open the door, I need to remove some wood so it swings cleanly. The thickness of the door wood is 3/4 inch (pine). I have a tablesaw to cut an angle on the door bottom, but I am scratching my head on the size of the angle. I know it is a small triangle...is it half the thickness of the door for the rear of the triangle?

  • Myspace tech support (please read)?

I have a bad virus on my homepage. I tried to write to Tom, but I can't send him mail. I can't get in there right now due to the viruses. Anyone know where I could send and email asking for a virus scan?

It's not my local PC. I tried a different one and scanned mine. They are both negative for viruses. When I try to log into Myspace, all the sirens go off.

  • Can the Win98 registry be restored from the command prompt?

Hi everyone. I go through this all the time when I ask a Win98 question. It's a garage machine, that I don't have a legal copy of anything else for.

I installed an old game - Bass Masters Fishing - and when I went to reboot I got the old VxD error "You Must Run Windows Setup". Safe Mode doesn't work, Normal boot doesn't work, line-by-line confirmation doesn't work.

I have the registry prior to the install backed up and I can get the CDROM to work. Is there a way to restore the registry from the command prompt?

I did not save win.ini and system.ini, but in the future I will. I was going to try to restore the registry - if possible - before I do a complete reinstall.

    Thanks!

  • Dual color blinds in apartment; what side to sun?

Since I moved into this large apartment there were blinds here that are BLACK on one side and WHITE on the other. You know, they are on rollers and you pull them. Anyway when I arrived they were in great disarray, so I hastily rolled them up and put them back, not paying attention to the colors placement.

For the room to be cool, what color should face the sun? I'm assumming BLACK should face the sun to reflect it. But, I'm asking to be sure because I have to move massive furniture to correct this problem. But it needs done.

So to keep the sun out, the BLACK points to the outdoors or the WHITE points to the outdoors?

  • Cassette tape recordings to MP3 (how do I)?

I'm going through my music collection and have some very old cassette tape recordings that I would like to put on the computer. Some one must have done this...or tried it and failed anyway. Barring buying some expensive card or stand-alone device, is there a quick and easy way.

What I know: I know I can play the tape and take the signal output into my computer. Is there a program that is good for this type of thing? I have a soundcard that will accept the inputs (red and white).

  • Detached computer power supply question (difficult)?

When I remove my computer power supply from the case, should it work in stand-alone mode? Meaning, if I plug it into the wall by itself, should the voltages appear at the connectors?

It's not, that's why I'm asking. On the 24 pin motherboard connector, are there pins that need to be shorted together to make the power supply work?

To try and make this simpler, I'll reword it: I have a power supply that works in the case. The fan turns and the voltages are there. I take it out of the case and plug it in, and the fan doesn't turn and there are no voltages. Are there pins on the 24 pin motherboard connector that need shorted together or is there a ground that needs connected somewhere to make the supply work outside of the case?

    Thank you sincerely.
