Wood cutting question?

I have a door to a bird coup that meets flush with a shelf at a 90 degree angle. The door is on hinges. To open the door, I need to remove some wood so it swings cleanly. The thickness of the door wood is 3/4 inch (pine). I have a tablesaw to cut an angle on the door bottom, but I am scratching my head on the size of the angle. I know it is a small triangle...is it half the thickness of the door for the rear of the triangle?

Half the thickness of the door would be 22 1/2 degrees. I doubt that you would need to cut it so steep though. Cut a little at a time until it fits to your liking. You can always cut it smaller but once it is too small making it larger is another problem.

It might be better to construct a lip at the bottom then figure the door..easier to keep the mess in.

get yourself a plane or a grinder with a sanding disc on,,(or shape chisel and hammer), small shaves at a time, if there is a gap at the bottom of the door when its open. you can shave the bottom of the door when its open
