The IRL race at belle isle?

is roger penske going all out again like he did last year for the race at belle isle? I was reading stuff on last years race I guess roger penske had helio go with him to a press conference before the race and made the city of detroit clean it up to make it look nice.

Last time I was there was a dealer meeting for Chrysler, the place seemed no worse than any other large inner city. I did meet more Parts and Service Managers sent in place of Dealer Principles because the place is pretty boring, there was this bar little club in Windsor though.........

I am super stoked that F1 is going back there although, I was on Belle Isle 2 years ago and cannot see how they ever even raced on there before. I will certainly be making a valiant effort to get over there.

It is a quality temporary track which should have never left the CART schedule. The natural configuration of the roads there lends itself to a nice race course. On the aesthetics.....look at the corruption in the city government....a wake-up call would be needed for those "leaders" to do their jobs for the teams and fans.

Whatever it takes for Roger to make a demographic take notice of his team or the sport he will do it. I think he made his point last time and will let it run its course.

  • im going with Tbone on this one
