Questions about first season of LOST?

Question

Remember when they found those caves and some decided to stay there instead of on the beach. Okay, Jack and Kate were looking around in there first and found two skeletons "Adam and Eve". Jack said they had been dead 40 to 50 years. have they ever explained anything about who they were? I assume they were from the Others long before the Dharma people showed up. ALSO Jack found a little bag of black and white marbles or stones. Was that ever explained? AND when and why did everyone decide to move back to the beach and out of the caves? It seems there was no big decision, they just all eventually moved back with no explaination (did I miss an episode?)

We know nothing about "Adam and Eve". The producers have promised that something really cool is going to happen with them before the series ends. Just hang tight. The black and white stones have also not been explained yet, unfortunately. People wanted to stay on the beach to make sure they don't miss a potential rescue boat/plane. They figured that if they were in the caves, they wouldn't be able to catch the opportunity if it arrived. So, as far as the questions go, hang tight and just enjoy Lost. Also, you can watch the entire series to date in HD Streaming at abc.go.com under "Full Episodes"

NOTE: The person below me is wrong about the marbles. Also, lostpedia.com is great for researching into Lost and refreshing your memory. Just type in stuff ie. The Monster, DHARMA, The Others, etc. and get detailed info on the topic.

Wow, I'm I huge LOST fan and own every season on DVD...I just finished watching season 4 online so thinking that far back is kinda like..........ugh..........., lol.

The skeletons were never identified that I can remember, they were just proof that people had been on that island for a while, not for the first time because of that crash.

If I remember correctly, the group in the caves moved back to the beach because of all the strage events happening on the island (like the weird huge cloud of black smoke...) so Jack decided they all needed to stick together.

and the marbles.......if I remember those are actually Locke's and those tie in in the pilot episode I think when he realized he could walk again.  (Found out I was wrong...they represent DARMA...black and white is darma's colors and is hinted to many times throughout the seasons)

I know I'm not much help, but I've seen every episode but thinking that far back is like whoah

First, the skeletons were from another group that got stranded. Don't know about the  stones. There was some sort of "monster" in the woods that made everyone move back to the beach.  It turned out to be some sort of black smoke, which was never really explained.
