How long did it take Noah to gather all the animals on the ark?

There are between 30 and 50 million species. Take two of each, that's 60-100 million animals. Let's say he was working 24/7, moving 100 animals per minute (which is pretty darn fast, but we'll give him a little lee-way since the big guy was backing him). By my calculations it would have taken him between 416.7 and 694.4 days to complete his task. How did he keep the ones on the boat alive during that amount of time? How did he cope with the huge amount of fecies produced? Where did he keep the food for all these animals? How did the animals gather in one location from all parts of the globe? How would a boat this large hold under its own weight, much less be sea-worthy? Where did all this excess water necessary for a flood come from and go to? Why is there no aerchaeological evidence of a worldwide deluge of water? Do I really need to go on? These are fairy tales people. They hold as much fact as Zeus chunking lightning bolts down from Olympus.

i think the bible says that the animals came to the boat. i do not think Noah had to gather them.

the world started at the garden of Eden and this was not all that long afterwards so quite likely the animals had not spread world wide by the time of the flood. Also; when god made the animals, he only made one couple of each species, example: there were not all the variety of bears as there are today. there was 1 male bear and 1 female bear - that was all. as time advanced it makes sense that the animals increased in population and moved to fill the earth (the same as people did, {ref. tower of babel.}) As the animals moved and possibly bred with other species they also had to adapt to their environment, thus we now have many types of bears which would make it now harder to get each type on board the ark.

So, what I am trying to say here; there were not as many different types of animals then as now. Considering this fact and the fact that the animals came to Noah and not that Noah had to go fetch them. and the fact that all things are possible with god; it makes awhole lot of difference. Would it not?

Or maybe his wife, sons, and daughter in laws, did the herding while he built the ark. Ever think of that?

Source(s): just playing with your head. of course when one thinks logically , most of the bible does not add up.

i'm uncertain it somewhat occurred how that is declared to have occurred. I watched a very exciting biography on the history Channel portraying what "somewhat" take place between memories out of the bible and that they are all taken out of context. case in point the splitting of the sea became actual a earthquake that led to a crack sufficiently vast interior the earths floor to empty a direction of water that moses walked. additionally the purple sea became led to by utilising a gasoline seeping from from the earths crust and became the water a muddy purple colour portraying purple water. that actual nevertheless happens. So i've got confidence all memories interior the bible are a splash fictional yet not fullyyt made up, basically a splash resourceful.

Certainly it didn't take him that long. At least not as long as it would take for you to realize that the Bible is in many parts contextual and not literal. Trying to disprove Biblical stories is the equivalent of trying to disprove Pinocchio. You're wasting your time. I'm no Christian (I'm Agnostic), but I know enough that it is the meaning of the stories that matter and not the logic of the story.

Do you really think with faith the size of a mustard seed (See Jesus' parable of the Mustard Seed) you can move a mountain? Gimme a break. Stop trying to enlighten people. You probably know less than them. You're just as pushy as those religious nuts who bash on my door.
