Try a windows update or go to your motherboard manufacturers website and download/install the most recent drivers for your computer.

Windows XP SP2 should have the driver if SP1 had it.
Chances are the USB ports already have the proper driver for it. If not...
Try uninstalling the USB ports in Device Manager and reboot the computer, Windows should re-install the drivers for the USB ports when loading. Make sure before you do this that you remove all devices connected to the USB ports. Once the Pc has rebooted and re-installed the drivers then plug the nokia phone in the USB port. Hope this helps

You will want to run Windows XP. You can get that at the local CompUSA, Staples or whatever, Or you can get it on eBay where it goes for about $115.00. For a printer, I recommend the HP PSC (Printer, Scanner, Copier) You can also get this at the local computer store or on eBay. Installing Windows is pretty self explanatory and user friendly as is the printer. If you find that your new PC is running a little slow, you might want to add more RAM. RAM is in a small printed Circuit Board that has to be plugged into the inside of your PC and should probably cost about $20 or $30. You can find more about that by calling 1-800-4memory. Good Luck. You can also get an external hard drive as 20 gigs is very small.

The usb 2.0 drivers are available on the Microsoft website. If you go to the system properties, click on the usb, and update drivers, it will give you the option to connect to the internet to update.

i have had this problem before, what i did was to go to my device manager, uninstall the USB drivers that are listed, and then search for plug and play devices. it should come up with the USB thing that u just uninstalled, however after u say to install automatically, it should use the newer 2.0 drivers. if u have future questions, or need a step by step help, please email me.

YOU ALREADY HAVE USB 2.0 DRIVERS, WITH WINDOWS XP SERVICE PACK 2.
YOU NEED NOT INSTALL ANY NEW USB 2.0 DRIVER .
GO TO CONTROL PANEL.
CLICK ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS
CLICK SERVICES
HIGHLIGHT PLUG & PLAY
AND RIGHT CLICK IT
CLICK PROPERTIES
IN WINDOW THAT OPENS
AGAINST STARTUP (IN DROP DOWN WINDOW)
PUT VALUE AS AUTOMATIC
PRESS START. O.K
AGAIN HIGHLIGHT UNIVERSAL PLUG AND PLAY
RIGHTCLICK IT AND CLICK START
NOW CONNECT YOUR DEVICE TO COMPUTER AND TEST IT .
HOPE IT HELPS.

its your hardware most likely, depending on how old your computer is you may have usb 1.0 hardware rather then usb 2.0. buy a pci card from circuit city or somewhere with usb 2.0
