10K gold means that 10 parts of 24 are pure gold (41.7%). Read more about the karat scale system on the information page on my site at: http://sarit-jewelry.com/Info.html or at the World Gold Association http://www.gold.org/

Well ten karats is not really a lot my family has been in the jewlery buisness for a while and i think pure gold is 24 karats and lots of jewlery is 14 but hey 3 diamonds...sounds like a nice ring and I know i would rather have more diamonds than better gold!

24 karat is pure gold, so 10 karat is 10/24 = 41.66667% gold. The watch I'm wearing today is 18 karat gold or 75% pure gold. 10 karat is low in gold.

no its little gold and more metals. 24K is pure and it goes down to 8K usually. Mexico and India sells beautiful 18K and the average here is 14K. 10K is considered cheap and some places sell 8K as 10K and rip you off. the higher the Karat the yellower in color it is.
