Dog Won't Drink Her Water?
My dog isn't feeling well and refuses to drink her water. Whenever i try, she turns her head away from it. I don't want her to dehydrate. What can I do?

for now give her some canned chicken broth, this will quite often entice her to drink water as there is a little salt in it. i would get her to the vet. she may just have a little upset stomach. but it's better to be safe.

Call your vet and ask what you should do. This could be really serious and could get worse in a hurry.
That said, one of my dogs is the most picky dog I've ever know. She literally won't drink tap water. It's not just our imaginations either. She'll go days without drinking if we put tap water out for her. And she won't drink out of a plastic bowl.
Also, my dogs love ice. Offer your dog some ice.

Try giving her milk or something a dog can drink if this does not work I recommend going to see a local vet you would know and asking what might be causing this or what you can give her to make her better.

I HAVE USED A MEDICINE DROPPER AND IN THE CORNER OF HER MOUTH AS FAR BACK AS YOU CAN PUT A FEW DROPS OF WATER EVERY HALF AN HOUR OR SO.THIS WILL TAKE ALOT OF WORK ONYOUR PART BUT ITSHOULD WORK. I WOULD BE CALLING THE VET OR BE MAKING A TRIP TO THE VET.

If this is unusual, put some honey in the water.
Healthy dogs know how much to drink though.
Late Entry : if in doubt seek the vet. dehydration is a bytch and can kill very quickly.
Later Entry : kill the "fairies" :)))) no use for such fvcks :)

You need to get your water tested. It might have a un-known chemical. I think pet-smart does it for free. Email for later advice ;)

When my dog is under the weather, I pffer her ice and she licks it. I feel better this way knowing the she is actually getting some liquid in her system.

See if she won't take a little milk to maybe "jump start" her thrist. If she refuses to drink for longer than a day, take her to a vet.
