My tattoo is a week old and it just started its peeling...?

I know this is normal and I am keeping the recommended lotion type on it throughout the day.

What I wanted to know is about for how long will it peel?

If size matters, it's about 4 inches long and 4 inches tall. Fully shaded and all that stuff.

Relax, continue to follow the instructions, it will pass.

By the end of 2 weeks, it should be looking and feeling pretty good. If it needs touch ups - talk to your artist after 2 -3 weeks.

You need to be patient. Don't pick at it. If you have to, very very carefully cut off excess - but do not pull or get close to the attached parts of skin. Or just pat down the peeling stuff when you apply the lotion.

Leave it alone, protect it. Treat it like a baby. Good luck.

I´d say that it´ll peel for few days more, as tattoo should heal in about 2 - 3 weeks, even though the skin is still rather thin after that time.

on my tattoos the big parts with color flake off in a day or threelol my bigger one took longer and my little one took only a day and then once that happens both of my tattoo peeled another layer of clear skin with no ink or if there was any it was a little black
