How witty! Let's see, I'll go with those who were true Yankees. None of these "guns for hire" like Reggie Jackson. To me he's not really a true Yankee.
How about Whitey Ford or Ron Guidry or Bernie Williams or Derek Jeter or Yogi Berra? Guess I'd have to go with Yogi.

In the last millennium the Yankees were such a big story, winning many pennants and championships. There is a lot of history and great players associated with them and that has inspired a following. People who like out of market teams are not necessarily bandwagoners or transplants. For Example, in my own case, I am a life long New yorker (City) and have been a Red Sox fan since 1966. They finished ninth of ten that year, although they wnet to the series the next. Would you call me a bandwagoner?
