What's the most creative answer to explain the green dot on the offensive/defensive player helmet?

It helps John Madden's telestrater pen focus on two points.Otherwise he would scribble on the entire screen and nothing would be visible...

Well, its all part of a sitcom. One day, Bill Billicheck was walking through the forest ( trying to film the deer that were running, of course). All of a sudden, Bill decides to pull out a cigarette. He lights it. Then he smokes for a few minutes. Then, he throws the cigarette and the liter on the ground. Shortly after, the whole forest catches on fire. So, he tries to run away. However, he dies in the fire. So then, the patriots go 0 - 16, because Bill didn't get the footage of the deer that he wanted. So, The NFL saw this happen, because the NFL looked into the future. Thus, as a reminder of Billicheat, the NFL put little green stickers on the back of the helmets, to remember that he died in the forest ( while he was still alive).

They're specially designed helmets that are more eco-friendly, or "green." They did a test run this year on all the QB's helmets, but they're not sure whether they were successful or not, so they're going to let one player on the defense wear a "green" helmet as well to get a better feel for whether or not they should make all helmets that way. the green dot is really a satelite tracking device . sort of like what the nascar racing cars have on there cars but different. it sends a signal to the martians so they can figure out how the game is played. if the whole world can watch the NFL why cant the martians much less the entire universe.

They ordered a big shipment of those green "yucky" face stickers to put on the bad players but the shipment arrived with a mistake. The green yucky face stickers were blank. The NFL is not one to let a single penny get out of their coffers, so they chose to use the blank green stickers for another purpose.
