My husband changed all the clutch plates in his Honda 200 XR and now when he tries to kick start it , it "kicks back". Any ideas?

When he starts the bike , kick thru entire stroke slowly.
You will feel the piston reach top dead center.
Let the kick lever come all the way back up and THEN kick it over hard.
Bike will almost always start.
All 4 strokes will kick back, some worse than others.
My old CR500 would knock a hole in a pair of tennis shoes!!!
Make sure the oil is fresh, plug fresh, gas fresh, and air filter clean.
Now go after the double jumps.
