cheap swing shoes!!!?
so i'm taking a swing class and at the end of the class, our instructors are taking us to swing club to introduce us to the swing scene in chicago. so i need shoes. i was wondering if there were some websites that offered some good deals on swing shoes or if anyone had any suggestions on how to fake a decent swing shoe. i'm trying to go all professional. i want a beginner shoe that i can swing with but i don't want to spend the $40 plus dollars for shoes that i might dance in a few times. any suggestions?

Cheapest way to go is is to put moleskin (from the drugstore) on the bottom of your shoes. This will allow you to slide and get the feeling of what fast shoes would feel like. Another is to buy shoe glue from a cobbler and some suede from the fabric store and glue the suede the bottoms of your shoe. Or even go have a cobbler do it for you.
