According to the Bible the people are the church just like in the USA the people are the government. However the church has been hijacked by charlatans just like the charlatans in Wash DC have hijacked the government away from the citizens of the USA.
The problem is the people have allowed it.
Ecclesia called out is the Greek word for church.
Ecclesia (lat) is a term derived from the Greek root ekklesia [εκκληÏία], which literally means a "gathering" of citizens, in an ancient Greek city-state, or a "called-out assembly"; usually defined as "gathering of the called-out ones"[1] or “gathering of those summoned”[2]. Theologically it has been equated from the New Testament passages, originally written in Greek language, as the Church (though the origin of the term "Church" is the Greek root kyriakon [from kyriake, kyriakos; kyrios; kyros])[3] and also as the Body of Christ, a view which reflects a deeper Spiritual and invisible dimension into the use of the term Ecclesia.

That all depends. First of all, I believe you're talking about a group of people gathered to worship God. Because a building is only a church if the people are there.
If I walk into a church with faded jeans and an old t-shirt and get dirty looks, I know I'm in the wrong place. But if I'm greeted with a welcome and a smile, I know I'm in the right place.
Church is good for anybody. But it's what each individual makes of it. I recommend it highly.

Church is supposed to be a very good place to be in order to worship God, pay your tithes which are required, pray, have fellowship, and hear the word of God, but the churches are being attacked by the devil so the church goers are all going thru trials and tribulations. It's almost a life and death matter just to get there sometimes.

The church is not the building, but those who are "the saved" that are baptized believers in the Son of God.
But, if you are talking about the meeting on Sundays, it is commanded. He tells us that we can not forsake the assembling the saints together on the first day of the week. When we do meet, we are commanded to pray, teach the word, give, partake of the Lord's Supper and to sing (no mention of instrumental music. God has never accepted instrumental music).

I love church. It is a place of refuge, a sanctuary. A meeting place where people can come together in one mind and one accord and worship God in liberty and in truth. Church is a soul-saving station. It also is like a filling-station where one can get refilled with the Holy Ghost. It is a place full of awesome worship and praise songs, hymns, psalms and songs of inspiration. You can feel the presence of God and know that you have been in contact with the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. It is my favorite place. I was glad when they said unto me, let us go into the house of the Lord.

The true church is composed of the called-out ones, the elect, the saints, children of God, delivered from darkness into light invisible to the world yet manifested by their righteousness.

I like church, it gives me a lot of comfort. I like the singing on Sunday, seeing people I know, I like the short weekly services where I can pour out my problems to God. I even like to go pray there when I can pray anywhere, it just seems to be a good place to pray.

I think that the only true Church are the Christians who actually read their own Bibles, and don't let others interpret it for them. Any institution that holds themselves superior to another by relying on the laws of men are only fooling themselves. Not true Christians.

I respect people that attend church as well as people who don't. I really don't attend much but that doesn't mean I don't believe or have faith in God.
