it's S-TV-DO. it's kind of a trick question because in S-LV-C, 'LV' refers to a linking verb. and 'was' is a linking verb. but because there is the verb 'called', 'was called' is considered as one verb that is now a transitive verb (TV).
also, to make sure it has an S-TV-Do pattern, try to ask, a 'what' question. and the direct object must answer. for example, 'what was he called?' and the answer is fat.
so it's pattern is S-TV-DO, :)

Like the last person said, S-TV-DO. Subject-Transitive Verb-Direct Object. The REASON is that "was" in this sentence is not the MAIN VERB. Instead, "was" gets added here to make the sentence passive, meaning the verb is happening to the person ("he") instead of the person doing the calling. So, "called" is the main verb and "was" is a auxiliary that makes the sentence passive. "Called" is a transitive verb because it cannot grammatically stand alone, without something like a direct object to come after it in the sentence.
