Any female can be a mother and not be married, a mother is a female that has children or a child.

A wife is a female that is in wedlock with a male, a female that is a wife does not have to have a child/children to be a wife.

Your Mother is above you, deserves the highest respect and you ought to follow her directions & calmly explain to her if she is not right.

But, a wife is an equal. You can treat her like a friend and you are not bound to follow what she suggests. You might get angry at her, it is not morally wrong to do so.

Besides, generally, it is a mother who loves her child, even without ANYTHING in return.

wife's mother should be old enough while mother being a wife is a never ending epic between husband and the child.
