The test is when you test high for the 1st test they want the 3 hour test for gestational diabetes, usually they just have you drink a stronger liquid but if you reacted badly before that's pro baby why you should do the donuts. Not sure about the constipation though sorry, I eat applesauce to help me :)

Your dictator wants you to eat the donuts before your appointment to see how well your pancreas is handling the sugar and fats. I've not heard of using donuts before but I have heard of them telling people to drink this horrible sugary stuff so you are getting out Lucky on that. He can tell by the blood test after the donuts how well your pancreas is working.

The constipation. Don't eat white bread. Use a good quality 7 grain bread. Cut back on red meat. Eat some bran flakes. I like Uncle Sam Cereal. If your local grocer doesn't carry it, your health food store will. If you don't want that, get flax seed and eat a few Tablespoons of it on your cereal. Another thing I used to do is eat an entire small can of pineapple or a can of green beans. Drink plenty of water. Something here should help. Good luck,.

i did the three hour glucose test but i was not told to eat anything different leading up to it..i ate normal then fasted for 12 hours the night before the test..

i failed and have diabetes.. but i have never heard of having to carbo load before this test..

for constipation i just take a stool softener like nu-lax..it tastes gross but it works
