Top 10 Reasons why 70% of black women are not married?

I read this and posted it. I agree with allot of it but not all. What are your views..

Black women (more than other races)

10. Make black men feel under appreciated, unwarranted and irresponsible and regressive

9. Are controlling and like to run the relationship

8. Tolerance is far too low; they are no longer empathetic to the black man’s struggle in white America

7. Do not cater to their men or know how to respectably treat a man.

6. Are strong headed, too independent which presents great challenges in relationships

5. Expect too much. They are gold diggers who will not look twice at a blue-collar black man

6. Want a thug until she is hurt and with children then she wants a good man, intelligent with a little thug in him.

5.are hot headed and have bad attitudes

4. Stop caring about their appearance and weight after marriage

3. Can’t see the good man in front of her

2. Complain too much

1. Problems are never there fault; they have an excuse for everything.

Update:

Trust me... this is far from racist...

I am a black man and I do this research all the time...

on average.. about 90% of black men feel this exact way...

I just want to hear your thoughts

I love my race and black women... I am married to one right now.. but I agree with about 8 things on this list and my wife does too...

Update 2:

I like your answer "the cat's mother"

well if black men were raised by good black fathers and real good black male role models. a lot of black woman wouldn't have those kind of ways. my husband agrees with your list. black woman never was raised that way from the begining we were raise to be the back bone for our men men took care of the home and did what they were supose to do. but how many times that a woman has to get disrespected or hurt physically and emotionally before she change into that list. If fathers start being there for their daughters to show them how real men are to treat them and fathers show how their sons how to carry themselve. we would have a lot of women willing to be there for their husbands/ boyfriends. i would love to tell my daughters to trust in a man and support your man but until men become the way my grandfather treated my grandmother. i am teaching my daughters to be aware of men who don't know how to treat a good woman. make sure you have your own and never depend on no one but yourself. not all black woman are gold diggers there are alot of woman who have good careers, houses and cars. a lot of black men can't handle black women making more than he do. what do you do about those kind of me. or men that date woman who have their own but don't know how to deal with that either. find me a secure black man who is about business beside my husband then maybe i can feel confident in the black man list of why 70 % of black woman are not married?

I cannot comment as I am not black but I did read a very interesting treatise on why there are so many single black mothers and why they are seen as stronger than the males.

The theory goes that once the Civil War ended and many

blacks migrated north to get away from the proverty and

prejudice they ended up in the large northern cities. The men were unable to get jobs due to the number of soldiers that were now coming home and the latent prejudice of the

Northerners. However their women could always get jobs as menials such as maids, laundresses etc. As a result the

women became the chief breadwinners. This left the men feeling demoralized due to the lost of status as 'head of the household'. They basically just gave up and abdicated their

positions in the family. Because they were unable or unwilling to contribute to the running or financing of the household the

women gave up on them entirely except for fathering their

children. If you read this in conjunction with your statements it would appear that the women have every right to be just

as there are especially when you consider numbers 9 and 7 and 6. I would however comment just as a woman that number 8 is totally sucky. Boo hoo a black man's struggle in white america?? what about a black woman's struggle in white america. That road runs both ways I doubt very much that bigots care whether you are a man or a woman they just hate the colour not the sex.

Well, if this is true, I applaud black women for being strong and for not putting up with any of the ..c..r..a..p... many other women put up with. Maybe some of us should learn something from them. Some of the points, such as 4,3,2, and 1, amongst others, really are lame, because they apply to most races if not all, don't you think?

First of all let me just say you are ignorant for posting this and saying you agree with most of it.

I AM A BLACK WOMAN. But instead of thinking like you, I choose to be rational. I am not in white America. I AM IN AMERICA. LAND OF THE FREE. I choose my paths, whom I want to be with, and what I want to do. For you to agree with that list just shows how shallow you think of yourself. Just because a STRONG BLACK WOMAN doesnt want to be with a blue collar working man doesnt mean she is a gold digger, maybe she feels what I feel. If you are blue collar and hate what you are doing, IMPROVE YOURSELF. I refuse to be with a black man who is comfortable where he is at with a blue collar job. There are community colleges out there and anyone can improve themselves, if they choose. Just because WE KNOW WHAT WE WANT, doesnt mean we dont want a relationship. It just means we want someone with the same aspirations as ourselves. I am an independent black woman, who pays my own bills, own my car, and own the place I live in. What in the hell does "too independent" mean? Maybe you would like a woman who takes you to court for child support or one that waits for you to say "we need groceries". Are you serious, did you really think before posting this? Did you ever stop to think that maybe some black women do not want to get married. Your list, sir, is asking for a maid that will wait on you hand and foot. THOSE DAYS ARE OVER. No woman who respects herself enough will cater, tolerate, or care about a man who doesnt lift himself up first. Yes there are some black women out there who are down and out, but guess what, you fail to recognize that those women who are single with kids, are still stronger than you. Because unlike you, they are holding the home down for their children and being the mother and father for that child. She is another example of a STRONG black woman, and men like you who buy into this list are only threatened by women like her. We are independent and so we dont want or ask nothing of you because we already know you are not good for anything but complaining of how much you have to put up with in "white America". Some women (because its not only black women who like thugs) are attracted to thugs because that is all they know and are on the same level or path with that thug. No kind of goals. Who are you likely to attract with no job, no education, and no type of goals. The same type of person you are. That is why Im not surprised you and your wife agreed about this list. You are two peas in a pod.

Ha, I agree with most of it. In school, I always get into a "Mouth" fight with a black girl. And I usually win.
