Is it better to count calories or count fat when trying to loose weight?
I am currently trying to lose weight I am 176cm (5 foot 8) tall and at the moment i weight about 85 kilos or 170lbs .... 6 Months ago i was 75kilos or 150lbs but put on weight due to medication.. what I would like to know is will I loose weight if I eat 1500 Calories a day or about 25g of fat or less a day? with an half an hour to an hour exercise everynight?
My diet plan would probably consist of:
Small bowl of special k for breakfast
Lean cuisine for lunch or a salad sandwich (chicken)
Then a healthy dinner stir fry or steak or something
How much fat should I consume in a day to lose weight and should I be counting calories or fat??

You need to count total calorie intake, and you should aim to have less than 30% of your calories come from fat. You will lose weight if you eat 1500 calories on average, regardless of how much fat you eat. What the body cares about is the bottom line, not so much where they came from. Elephants eat a nearly no fat diet, and all vegetarian at that- and they still get to be rather large. And when it comes to fat, all fat is not equal,keep that in mind. You want fats from plant sources, primarily- not animal sources. But you do need fat, for the body to obtain fat soluble vitamins that it needs, and the ability to use them. Make sure your diet has plenty of variety, and be sure to include fruits, whole grains, and the occasional treat. A nibble of something naughty is far better planned in than surviving a gobble and burp that happens when you break down. The idea is not to feel completely deprived, or to call any food totally off limits. That's the fast track to failing. No bad foods, just foods to eat less of, less often. But plan them in all the same. Good luck with the effort, and count the calories first. Then look at the fat.

calories
weight loss is simply burning more calories than u take in, altho its also importantto consider the type of food u eat
as for exercise u need to do at least 30 mins of mod-intense cardio and some strength training exercises like pushups and core exercises
as for fat, don't count but stick to small amounts of healthy fats like olive oil and nuts and 3 oz portions of fish
eliminate or minimize saturated fats

im on a carbohydrate diet at the moment, and i can loose up to a kg a day if i stick to it... im may not be healthy to some people but it makes me feel healthy!!
