Does your dog act like a cat?

Okay, my dog acts like a cat more than a dog. She lays around a lot. She doesn't follow any commands, she'll just stare at you like you're stupid.

She loves tuna. She loves attention when you give her attention. Also, she can have LOTS of fun with a ball of yarn!

So, does anyone else have a dog that acts like a cat?

Update:

She's a small Shih Tzu/Chihuahua mix. Really cute, too!

Some animals just have different personalities; my dog used to eat my cat's food all the time. My dog hates water as well. It's just an active dog being a dog. It is possible for animals to be influenced by another animal's behavior, but it's not harmful or dangerous. Don't worry about it, just laugh it off. I would find it rather cute. If this is really bothering you, however, just try weaning him off of these things. If you see him eating cat nip or cat food, just tell him firmly, "No." If you don't like him going in the sandy place, and you see him trying to go there, say "no", and lead him to a place where he can. Otherwise, don't lose sleep on it. It's very common and normal.

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aUAWG

A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

my silky terrier acts like a cat.

He jumps up onto the top of the couch to lay down

He walks on people like a cat does

He plays like a cat too. You can move a toy in front of him and he will be laying on the floor pawing at it like a cat.

He loved playing with balls of yarn or string.

My family always jokes around that He is really a Cat stuck in a Dog's body

My sister has a yorki-pom-keesh mix who thinks he's a cat. He likes laying on window sills and he walks on the top of couches like a cat. He likes to sleep either in high places or cave like places. Funny thing is that unlike cats he is obssesed with swimming pools. He loves to swim and evertime my sister puts him outside to do his business he always gose in the pool.

Both of my dogs "stalk" each other in the yard. Look just like giant, ungraceful cats trying to sneak up on their prey. Quite entertaining.
