Looking for recipe for Portuguese Rice with raisins, pinenuts, almonds?

A friend attended a dinner catered by a Portuguese chef and was served a rice dish that she loved. She said it was white rice and had raisins, pinenuts and almonds in it. I have searched the web and haven't found one that quite matches her description. Wish I had eaten it myself as I could probably figure it out. Does anyone out there have a recipe for this?

Thanks!

Update:

I don't speak Portuguese, but I used a translator and got the gist of it think. I wonder if Parrot leaves are bay leaves? That was the only thing that translated in a way I couldn't figure out.

The first recipe in English sounds very close to what my friend described. I will give her both. Her son's girlfriend is first generation American with parents from Portugal, so I am sure they can translate the Portuguese recipe for her.

It is almost impossible to pick a best answer since both are great! Thank you!

    do you know portuguese?? if so here's a very similar recipe that i found:

    Arroz com Frutos Secos

    Ingredientes:

    * 350 g de arroz pilaf

    * 50 g de passas

    * 1 cebola grande

    * 1 dente de alho

    * um bocado de gengibre

    * 1 folha de louro

    * piripiri q.b.

    * 75 g de margarina

    * 75 g de amêndoas

    * 75 g de pistachos

    * 3 dl de iogurte

    * 1/2 litro de água

    * 1 colher de sopa de sumo de limão

    * sal q.b.

    Confecção:

    Lavar o arroz e as passas e escorrer bem.

    Corte a cebola às rodelas e faça um refogado com a margarina, a cebola, o alho e o gengibre e a folha de louro.

    Em seguida, alourar neste refogado os frutos secos e o iogurte.

    Temperar com o sal e o piripiri e saltear cerca de 5 minutos.

    Regar com a água quente.

    Quando levantar fervura, deitar o arroz. Deixar cozer com tampa por 25 minutos.

    Antes de servir, salpicar o arroz com o sumo do limão.
