Can a fat person ride many rides at Knoebel's Amusement Park?

Which are the best parks and rides for heavy people within a day's drive of Philadelphia, PA?

On many of the rides it depends on the restraint system. For rides with a T-shaped lap bar that is pushed onto you, I might say it might be a tight squeeze and forgo that type of coaster (many parks now have a model of the seats and restraints outside of the rides). Over the shoulder harnesses are a bit more forgiving for us larger riders and have an expandable seatbelt. Also, if you are worried, follow a person that is big as you or bigger around the park and see which ones they ride or wait at an exit to see if largers guests are getting off. The left seats or inside seats are sometimes a bit larger but the ride attendants may ask you to sit on one side or another to balance out the cars. Also, some of the newer rides are being built with cars a bit larger to accomadate the trend in the US of being a bit overweight.

  • Knoebels is an awesome amusement park, however, it is family owned (with a little help from hersheypark). The rides there are older and even their new rides are usually used. There are certain rides a larger person will not be able to go on, or at least will only be able to go on by themselves. My favorite ride there is the little train that takes you into the woods, the cars are very tiny, so there would be difficulty on that ride. The haunted mansion has little carts that take you through the ride, that one you may have to ride alone. Nevertheless, Knoebels is a great park and it is worth going to even if you can't ride some of the rides. I like to go for their award winning food. Plus the haunted mansion is really great too. Go to Knoebels, you will enjoy yourself.

the seat manufacturer have one seat size that is manufactured by each. so all seats at all amusement parks and carnivals are the same size. they will all hold a rather large person although it is difficult to get out of them for quite a few.
