How do i get rid of a virus in my computer called Virus Heat?

I have McAfee that i pay for. And i want to know why McAfee did not catch and destroy this virus. I tried to get on several sites to download AVG but the virus won't let me......HELP!

    ok, the process goes like this

    1) open task manager, and end the process that begin with virusheat

    2) look in the hard disk for a folder name that begins with virusheat

    probably in c:\program files \

    3) now boot your computer in safe mode and then run ccleaner (CCleaner is a free registry cleaner, that will remove all the remaining files of virus heat) Run the cleaner and registry menus

    if you have problem in opening windows registry, then you can use a free tool from symantec
