NY Yankees
Hitting has been sporadic at best. There are times it looks like they will be on fire then they go on a stretch of 3-4 games where they score only one run or less. They need consistency.
Starting pitching has been a mess. After our ace went down with a foot injury that'll keep him out until September we patched together an ok staff. Our early season experiment with some youngsters was a bust. I feel they may do something in the next week.
The Bullpen has been surprisingly good. With the best closer in the history of the game our middle relief has stepped it up a notch.
Defense has been rather sloppy. Our captain has been horrible as well as our right fielder(Two errors in one inning last week). We need to tighten our defense up if we expect to contend.
Its too early to give marks on our coaching. With all of the injuries we've had this season the staff has done its best to make a patched up lineup and pitching staff work.
Alex Rodriguez has been the most consistent player we have. After being out for three weeks with a quad injury he's been very consistent and leads the team in HR's with 19. For the Yankees to be in the playoffs he may have to carry this team on his capable shoulders.
Derek Jeter needs to put more of an effort into his game rather than his commercial success. He's been horrible this year. Its like his Ford Commercials have taken more importance than the Yankees. I'd also like to mention Robinson Cano and Melky Cabrera here as well. Cano has shown signs of his coming out of his season slump where he was hitting .162 into late may and Melky needs to shake it off he's hitting .242 and sinking.

Orioles
Hitting? Good. A respectable offense has kept the O's in games the starting pitchers seemed hellbent on losing.
Starting Pitching? Poor. Cabrera seemed like maybe he finally figured it out earlier this year but alas, no. Guthrie is the only reliable starter and he gets no run support.
The Bullpen? Awesome. Overused, but the reason the offense can come back after the starter leaves in the 5th.
Defense? Lacking at short and catcher but otherwise, very good.
Coaching? I've never been able to really discern the impact of the hitting coach or the pitching coach. And it's the AL, the manager has it fairly easy. But I'll take Trembley over the donkey parade of managers the O's have had since Davey Johnson.
Who has stood out for your team? Nick Markakis, Adam Jones, Brian Roberts, Jeremy Guthrie, Jim Johnson.
Who needs to get his act together? Ramon Hernandez, and the numerous pretenders to the spot vacated by Tejada.

Hitting: C+ (The hitting has been great with no one on base, but horrendous when trying to drive in runs.
Starting Pitching: A (The rotation is arguably one of the best rotations. Each starter could have possibly had atleast 10 wins by the all star break if they wern't victimized by no run support.)
Bullpen: B (The bullpen has been great even with the injuries of some key players such as Accardo and Jansen. The bullpen has one of the lowest ERAs. The bullpen has been great in keeping games tied or preserving big leads but mediocre at perserving slim leads.)
Defense: B+ (The fielding has been excellent with the ecxeption of 1 or 2 players who do not field well such as Eckstein.)
Coaching: D (The coaching has been horrenous for Gibby, Whitt and Pevey have been fired. The Jays Cito Gaston, a proven winner who will hopefully turn this team around.)
Roy Halladay has stood out for the team for he is a Cy Young candidate for this season.
Alex Rios needs to get his act together because his numbers are really low compared to what his potential is.

PHILLIES
Hitting- A/A+ but sometimes they can slump
Starting Pitching- C+ they need to trade for someone
The Bullpen- B+/A- they have actually preformed well. no one expected clay condrey and ryan madson to come through and Brad Lidge has been amazing. Also J.C. Romero has been great but Tom Gordon has been terrible.
Defense- A-/A Chase Utley and Pedro Feliz have been terrific on defense and go all out on every play. also, Jayson Werth and Shane Victorino are fast. Plus Victorino has a cannon for an arm!
Coaching- hmmmm well the owners i would rate an F. They are the cheapest people in the world. But I've been impressed with Charlie Manuel and how he brings the team together B+/A-
Chase Utley, Pat Burrel, Ryan Howard, Brad Lidge, Jayson Werth, and Cole Hamels- The first three players have just put up great offensive production! Brad Lidge hasn't even blown a save yet! Jayson Werth really stepped in when Shane Victorino got injured. and what Phillies fan can forget his inside the park home run? Cole Hamels just pitched great as expected.
Brett Myers, Adam Eaton, and Tom Gordon. They just sucks right now. Although Tom Gordon is old.

Hitting- inconstant in that section they have already scored about 3 runs or less in 30 games in the first half, and at times the pitching staff did great that night but got a W, because of the Inconsistency of the Hitting
Starting Pitching- Wang is down the Ace, But Mussina has been the savior who would of taught Mussina, but he is doing it and Pettitte has been up and down but good enough. The Hughes ,Kennedy thing well you know what happened. Joba Chamberlain has been a blessing, and the Mix ins Rasner, Giese and Ponson have been so so. WE NEED PITCHING
Bullpen- Besides MO is having one his best years every, the bullpen has been good and BAD at times, Farnsworth has picked it up, Ramirez has also and Veras good guy to get to Mo and some call ups up and down
Defense- Same , just good enough :]
Coaching -Girardi well he has done okay, nicest word i can use and the 2 tirades he has had = Yankee Wins, he had done overall great dealing with such Injuries has been amazing
Stood out- Mussina wow if it was not for him the Yankees would be under .500
Act together- Hurts me to say it but , but the truth hurts Derek Jeter has not been Himself to many DP, and needs to concentrate get his average up to .300
well thanks finally some good questions

Hitting? F (near the bottom of the AL in average)
Starting Pitching? C (had a good stretch earlier in the year but with Sabathia gone, and Carmona and Westbrook hurt have to give it a C with a final grade of B possible)

Coaching? C+
