Survey: At what age do you stop being annoyed and start being flattered when carded for buying booze?

I’ve been known to hop over the counter to kiss the cashier for carding me.

I'm 32, and always being carded. Being carded ITSELF is not the issue. The issue is that if you LOOK under a certain age, and that key word is LOOK, you get carded. Shoot, I once met a 19 year-old, facial hair and all, and he can pass for my age. There is this not-yet-out-of-high-school dude in my all-but-him adults in dance class, with beard and mustache, and he could pass for an 20s. There are underage people I'm sure can easily get alcohol and not get carded, and get thrilled off of it, and yet, me OF age, gets carded. I think it's only fair everyone gets carded because unless the person is obviously a senior ( and gray hair is not enough because my father naturally grayed at 18, and who knows, a minor might decide to put on a gray wig for disguise), you cannot always know a person's age by looking at them. I get told I look 11 years younger than my age, and I'm sure I might be able to look 13 years younger once I lose 60 pounds I need to lose.

I never had a problem not looking my age because not only it's like that natural, but it take SOOOO MUCH work to look younger, but SOOOO MINIMAL work, like even a certain haircut, to make yourself look older. I didn't have to work to look younger because it's genetics. 60 extra pounds managed not to age me. But I am now doing minor stuff at home to maintain looking younger than my age.

I get carded all the time now tooling around in my Hovaround Power chair while wearing my LifeAlert necklace; never was when I was 16. I'm not flattered, especially not when they call me "young lady."

you're such a flirt, you jumped out of your car and gave me a kiss when I gave you the right of way at the stop sign. By the way, where to I send the bill for the rabies shot?

well I'm 26 with a 7 month old baby and a 7 year old step daughter and I still get carded. Ever since having my baby, it makes me happy :) (though here in Michigan, the stores are suppose to card if the person looks younger than 30. I dont care, it still makes me smile)

I would say shortly after they stop carding you for several years, then when it does happen you are shocked and happy. So what do I do to celebrate? I go out and get massively drunk thereby taking years off my lifespan. Sort of evens things out a bit.

I don't care anymore. The last time a bartender asked me, I did give him a kiss on the cheek. I got free drinks the rest of the night.

Late 30's or so. I thanked someone a few years ago for carding me! I KNOW they didn't think I was underage.
