Christains do you really know what this means?

“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are FEW who find it."

(Matthew 7:13-14)

Yes, it means that there is a right way, but it's not easy.

Many people do not live by that way, but it is said to be the only way to avoid destruction. Life can become so crazy, especially as you grow up and begin working. Your schedule gets so hectic, and you can easily fall into the wrong way of living. Even without realizing it. It's not easy to get out, once you've fallen in, because the people around you, may make it seem like the right way. This refers to following the commandments and respecting others. Offering help when you are able, and being of service to others. Knowing the bible and reading it often, will help you to not get side tracked by life's twists and turns. The wide road symbolizes the way most of the people live. The straight and narrow road symbolizes the way someone who follows God's teachings lives. It is a way of telling you, to take care that you don't make a wrong turn and begin living the wrong way. Once you begin to live the wrong way, it's very difficult to come back to where you should be. It also wastes a lot of precious time, and we never know how long or how short our days will be. It's important to make a difference now, and live as if tomorrow is our last day on earth, by doing the right thing now. I have posted several links for your reference. I hope that helps :)

yes jesus was using a parable about shhep and the place where they lived that is fenced in called the sheepfold. It has a gate that leads into the sheep fold. Only the shepherd can open that gate.

Enter GOD's kingdom by the narrow sheep gate.

Wide is the gate and expanisve is the way that leads to destruction or hell or lake of fire. And there are many who go in by it the sheepfold of hell.

Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to eternal life and there are few who find it.

Jesus says the way to hell is wide and easy to follow.

The way to salvation is a narrow path that has difficulties that we follow to heaven. very few are there that find it.

The wide, the broad gate represents the world where everything is everything. We do as we jolly well please and to hell with the rest. No laws, no courtesy, no decency. Just let it all hang out. Who cares? Of course, when we feel the pinch or pain, whichever, we want someone to fix it! It's not our fault!

The opposite holds true for the narrow gate, which depicts having a care, being of a single mind, focused and true.

the narrow gate is the way to heaven and the broad gate is the gate to destruction which is hell and very few enter into it because most people follow the way of the world.

Many use the wide gate of worldliness. The gate to Life is the Word of YHWH. The Messiah is the gatekeeper, His sheep know His voice (the UNchanging Word of our heavenly Father). Whoever does the Torah/law will of YHWH are the Messiah's brethren and friends. They are the ones who shall enter thru the gates into New Jerusalem. HalleluYah!

Of course. It means--of the estimated 100 Billion persons that have lived so far on this ball of crud called Earth--that the vast majority, say 90% will end up burning in Hell for eternity while the rest will get to play golf in Heaven. They say the golf courses in Hell suck as the hazards are really hazardous: lava pools, bottomless pits....

They say Satan has the toughest golf course ever built and even Jack Niklaus couldn't score under a 100 there.

This also leads to another subconclusion.

    1) The majoritiy of persons will spend eternity in a state of Perdition.

    2) Any God would could conceive of such a stupid way of dealing with conscious living beings and their evils has got to be the biggest idiot or sadistic monster in existence. Take your pick.

God the lunatic or idiot? or God the Tyrant?

    Both rather suck.

If it were up to me and I were God, there'd be no stupid people or fat people allowed to exist and the world would be Paradise and no Heaven or Hell would be necessary. We'd all party all day long! Naked!

If you're looking for the easy way, Satan has provided a map with huge simple to follow instructions - do what you want, when you want, how you want, and don't worry about any one else or what will happen to you.

If you're looking for the right way, the only way to escape what is to happen to those following the other way, God also has instructions - but they are much more difficult to follow, and you have to have His help to follow them. Follow His Son. Put Him in control. Do what He says, how He says. Believe in His Love and Righteousness.

CARE about everyone else - but don't worry about what they SAY to the contrary for only He is the WAY into Salvation. The DOOR of the fold. The only means by which anyone may may have everlasting LIfe.

Many hear what is required and STOP LOOKING.

The path to lead to the gate of heaven......

The gate is wide ( all can enter ) but the road is mislead by the world and can irrupt and only the ones who remain will enter.

That's why we need Jesus in our life so he can guide our way!

    Hallelujah

Well, spell Christians right next time, and don't emphisize words that aren't emphisized in the scripture.

It means the path to the Lord is narrow and that the path to hell is broader and the road most and easiest traveled. You have to break apart from everyone and take the path that leads to the Lord.
