Why do parakeets do this?
They move from one foot to the other really fast, swaying from side to side. They sit in a window and they each have a mirror with a perch. They sit on the perch facing the mirror/outside and do this for a long time.

the dancing is...well...just that, a dance. they do if for play when they are excited. As for looking at the mirror, they are fascinated with themselves and think its another bird. Just normal behavior.
