How do you dream what you dream?

Other than stress or worries..

what makes you dream what you dream?

I heard that if you think about somethin hard enough before you fall asleep, that's what you dream about...but it doesn't seem to work for me.

The technick you mentioned never worked for me too. On the contrary...the more I think about something intensively before I fall asleep, the less chances I have to dream about it... but, still I don't know why.

I think that we can't control what are we going to dream...and we can't expect to dream just about the thnigs, events and people we meet in our every day life, only in this period.

Cuz I very very often have dreams about people I almost forgot that existed in my life, about places I can hardly remeber I've been to, and about events that had happened lots od years ago and are quite unimportant for me.

It's just the human subcounciousnes...so with difficult practise maybe we may achieve to dream what we want to...but looking to the scientific side, which explains that when we're asleep, works only that part of the mind that is relaxed through the day...the rest of our mind is turned "off", it's very hardly possible to achieve such a thing.

So I don't mind to dream everything...persons important for me now, persons I have almost forgot and persons I have never met...that makes my night and sleeping extremly interesting and unique

It is actually very possible this is working for you every time....they say typically you only remember a dream when you wake up right after it or during it. I know I have been able to do what you describe before, but am only aware of it a few times and that was when I woke up right away. So any dreams you have early in the night you will not remember because it is hours before you wake up, but sometimes you might wake up in the night when you've been dreaming and you'll remember it.

There are many different kinds of dreams. There are dreams in which we work out the stuff from the day, especially when we are under stress. Many of the dreams we have are pointing out psychological issues we need to work on or are simply precognitive as to what is coming up in our lives. Dreams come from the unconscious mind which speaks in symbols. The symbols are not really straightforward and need to be interpreted.

No one can interpret your dreams or tell you what they mean. Only you can do this. Never mind those who say they can tell you what your dream "means." It only means something to YOU because you give it your personal meaning.

Don’t bother with dream books, dream dictionaries, internet sites that tell you to look for codes or symbols or hidden mysteries in dreams. Dreams do not contain such things. Dreams are straightforward, just like your waking thoughts.

There is always a purpose to a dream. Everything that human beings think, feel, or do has a purpose. It is part of what Dr. Alfred Adler called "the psychology of use."

Dreams don't come to you from outside yourself, nor do they arise from your "subconscious." Once you become aware of having a dream, it’s conscious. You make your dreams up. You create them, just as you create your thoughts.

The purpose of your dreams while you are asleep is the same as the purpose of your thoughts while you are awake. That is, to solve your problems.

Figure out the purpose of a dream and you have its meaning. Dreams are thoughts while you sleep, attempting to solve your problems.

I think dreams are a reflection of inspiration and creativity that manifest themselves in the unconscious. :D
