Why am i so tired???????... can someone please help??

I am 20 years old, 5ft 5 and 111-112lbs, i have been this weight for a while now.

I should be fighting fit and be healthy but i just seem to be so tired and exhausted all the time. I'd love to be able to exercise and keep fit but i just don't have the energy.

I've recently got a part-time job while i'm off uni at a supermarket and i did my first 2pm-10pm shift on saturaday, and i spent sunday sleeping and not even having enough energy to move, i felt rotten.

Why is this??

p.s i've had blood tests done not long ago and anemia, and diabetes and any other conditions have all been ruled out.

This could be a million things and it is worth seeing the doctor about this again if they didn't find anything out.

You sound anxious. In itself anxiety uses up a lot of your resources as can eating only refined foods, being underweight and not eating something small every four hours.

Try amending this in the time between now and seeing the doctor again.

It sounds like you're just not getting enough sleep. Try to get yourself to bed on time so that you get at least 8hrs of sleep per night. I'm a college student too, and I know how rough it can be, especially with a job.

Also, make sure you're eating right. If you eat a lot of sugary sweets, you're not giving your body enough nutritionally to keep it alert and moving. Try keeping fresh veggies or fruits around the dorm - see if you can't just walk out of the cafeteria with a few bananas or something - and if you work at a grocery store, it shouldn't be too hard to pick these things up before/after a shift =)

    Feel better!!

This might have alot to do with your diet and excersise. Make sure you eat healthy meals and lots of water! Healthy food provides lots of energy, such as potatoes, eggs, lean proteins, and good carbohydrates. Also, even though it feels like you have no energy to excersise, its not precisely true! Doing cardio early in the morning (before eating) will give you bursts of energy throughout your day! (It might not for the first few days though because your body will be getting used to it) So stay healthy! Another note, too much sleep can add to being tired. At 20, you only need about 8 hours, no more than 10.

Your 20 and srill going through alot of changes. Your off to uni, had to adjust to not going to school and working. Take some time to get used to the situation your in. Soon you'll get used to the routine and will find it easier to sleep. Also when yyour ued to things you wont as much energy. Dont worry this is just a phase. If it carries on for a long time. Go to your doctor. But wait to see if you stop.

Ok first question: Are you eating? If so are you eating junk food? Junk food makes people slow and tired so if you are eating junk food, stop! If not, then are you going to bed early enough? I'm also 5'5 and I know that a healthy weight for someone our height is about 134. I think if you put on healthy weight it might help to. If you want to exercise, but feel tired. Try to push yourself to do it anyway, you'll feel better that you did. Good Luck!

Did you have a blood test for Thyroid problems? You may have an underactive one - in which case your GP will prescribe Thyroxine to balnce it out. OR, are you eating enough? Lack of food = lack of energy. Are you bored? Not getting enough stimuli? Just a few thoughts....

been at uni is pretty hard, al that academic work, uni life, late nights..its all proberbly catching up with you. getting a job that involves late shifts is not ideal, unfortunately if you need the money, needs must. but sometimes the less you do, the less you want to do and you can sometimes find yourself getting into a bit of a rut.

there are a lot of truely horrible things you can have, lol but lets keep it light. is your diet consist of junk food? you can be full and yet starving. i noted this is one of the reasons i felt like 80 when i turned 30. I swore i was eating right, but i was wrong. i changed and now i can outrun little kids again. average slow ones anyways.

if your a hypercondriaic or whatever they call it, West Nile is a good one to chase after. LOL. personally i hope its something simple. good luck

you need to have an inspiration (it could be someone) so u have the reason to exercise and so that you have the willingness to workout.

if u really wanna lose weight, be healthy and energetic all the time... make this problem a goal for u... try set a plan on how to manage ur time and work hard for it...

My youngest daughter found that she processed iron too fast and started to take ferrous gluconate (an iron supplement). she is a D1 field hockey player and was exhausted in the off season till we found this product. I pitty the poor girls who play against her this year.
