Gays marrying and posing as straight?

That is really a great question. Again it may be impossible to get any accurate percentages, but it is more widely in practice then one can imagine. People right before our eyes in high positions in what looks to be happy marriages with children find it much easier to promote themselves politically and in what ever their fields of endeavor are. Be it acting, finance, etc. Their so called stable happy marriages appear so because it is a partnership for the betterment of the pair....Know anyone like that ?????? They can carry on out side the marriage with others in like circumstances and everyone keeps mum. I've seen it 1st hand.

You can have a man who is a woman chaser (not) in the public eye and what a great cover for his gayness....and his wife (also gay) who stands by him because she doesn't care because she has her own thing going..... of course they have a child or 2 for show...but it is a bearded marriage. Those around them know...even their rivals....who also have these "bearded marriages" but keep their mouths shut as it is a huge silent powerful unspoken rich segment of the population who dare not let the naive general public know whats really going on. Media squelch any word of it. Our beloved giving TV personalities are also part of this underground gay power group. We are all sheep...blind, simple minded sheep....who love and praise and follow charismatic gays, who have us fooled and have had us fooled for years and years.

What do we do.....we force them into the closet and they have had to pose as straight people to not be scorned and they have had children. Don't let anyone say gayness is not inherited. It is. I have seen this up close and personally. These people have gay children and they go on and do they same thing and have more gay children. Sad but true.

So from one straight person to another ....see what we have done. We have caused a hugely gay nation in being so bigoted in not allowing gays to marry same sex and adopt. Hell they are marrying and having gay children. If you can't figure that one out, then you got your head in the sand. Hidden agendas for this country...Just wait and see what happens next....

Answer to question is ...Percentages are much higher then one knows.

Children are very likely gay or very high percentage from gay parents. Don't let anyone tell you they won't have sex or figure out how to impregnant , its the perfect cover. They can, have and have done so.

I don't know how there can ever be accurate figures on the % of gays marrying and being in the closet. Think about it.

It's safe to say that it was much more common to live in the closet in the past and that was probably what the majority of people who were gay did, or joined the ministry or Catholic priesthood/nuns. Most of the rest would have been single and relatively isolated usually.

Today, I'm sure it still happens, especially with people from conservative religious backgrounds, but it's probably a minority now because there isn't as much negative consequences and there are rights and acceptance by others today.

I don't know the % of children of gay (biological) parents, but that seems possible to estimate. The thing is, it may be above the average for the general population but that still leaves the question of nature or nurture. It's easy to come out when you have seen positive examples and you know it won't be an issue with people closest to you.

Definitely, gays marrying straights! Our Christianity-based society has traditionally valued appearances over substance. I know several gay men who married women in the hope that they could force themselves to be straight, or came from sheltered backgrounds where marrying a woman was the only option presented to them. Trying to brainwash a person into being someone they're not- to please others- is a certain recipe for depression and loneliness, and as we all know, such negativity is certain to rub off on those around them. All ended in divorce, some more amicable than others, all to the detriment of the kids. As for extending civil protections to gay families- there's no question that it's something that society needs to address, either now or when it becomes a social disaster- like when we see more families split up or lose their homes when one partner dies, and we start throwing seniors out on the streets because they stayed at home to raise their kids and have no entitlement to their life partner's social security survivor benefits.

you would have to find out how many men go from a straight marriage to homosexuality because people in the relationship probably wouldnt tell and two gays wont have children so there is no reason for the stat. The likelihood would probably be the same as any other people since gayness seems to be a random occurance. So its like 1 in 10?

You must remember that a lot of teens are bi until their early 20s, and some of them supress their gay side to please society, and get married, only to find that they turn 100% gay later on. I think this happens a lot.

I don't think gayness is necessarily hereditory, so children of gay couples will probably only have the same chance of being gay as those of straight couples.

I'm not sure how you would propose to gather this information. Any research would be fatally flawed. But if you're curious, I know gay men who are married and have children and if anything they tend to overcompensate, especially with sons, and insist on a rather unbearable level of manliness and straightness in their kids.

Theare are a few people who are married to women, gay, and have children, but you could never get a statistic on it however Gay parents vs Straight parents don't have an effect on the child.
