I am going to be in JROTC next year and I am not very fit. What can I do to get fit quickly and be prepared for next year?

You can start to run every other day. You want to start of with a short distance and increase it every the week. You can have a day where you run for distance and a day you run for speed. You could also do pushups and situps before you go to bed or when you wake up in the morning. The key is to actually start working out now and not to wait until the end.

This JROTC Physical Fitness is as almost same as PE (Physical Education). That JROTC is welcomed to everyone who is fit or not. And it may help you to get a fit when you are in the class.

Carlos R hit it right on the head, however contrary to popular belief, there isn't much PT in JROTC. However ROTC is a different story.

Your better off joining regular pe for better fitness based on my experiences with jrotc.
