We own a 2002 toyota Celica. It is a VERY good car. My hubby has the action package and it looks nice. I honestly think it looks 100 % better then the Toyota Scion. Now with gas prices being so high we drive around the Celica more because it is so economical. The only thing we've had to replace is tires/battery. It is a great car. I hope they bring it back. I know we'll purchase one.

I'm still driving my 1987 Toyota Celica, It's not pretty anymore, I've had to have the clutch replaced and the brakes replaced twice and now the 3rd gear is shot (we don't need no stinkin' 3rd gear....LOL) but the gas mileage is great and it get me around.

They discontinued it and replaced it with the Scion tC when Toyota started the company Scion. It has the same engine and chassis as the Celica.

Its the same reason that they stopped making supras'.
Bc not enough american's are buying them.
People in Japan Buy them bc its so cheap there.
Now celica's im not sure.
To get them over here is costing the US so much. that we apparently dnt have.
Toyota stop making them. just like they stop making other cars.

They discontinued it so they could move more buyers to the Scion model line. After adding the Scion TC, they didn't want two cars competing in one category (sports coupes).
