Ford Mach 460 sound question?
Is there anyway to upgrade/expand the Ford Mach 460 sound system without replacing the factory stereo deck? I'd really like to add a subwoofer to the equation, but dont want the hassle of replacing the factory stereo

Yes. If you pull out the "factory sub" that's nestled behind the rear seat & under the rear deck, you'll have additional room for your aftermarket sub enclosure.

There are some really neat new products that take speaker level inputs and convert them to RCA outputs for a new amplifier. Once you do that, it's just like owning an aftermarket head unit. You can put 1, 2, 3, or more amps on your system, including one for the subwoofer.
You will probably spend $300 or more for one. You want a good one so there is no distortion.
Check out this one from Rockford Fosgate, an American company in Arizona.
There are probably several others out there as well, but I've heard one of these in a car and it's amazing.
