Does any one know what religion the southern and northern colonies followed in early America? Thanks?

    Virginia, the Carolinas, and Georgia were all Anglican. Maryland was originally a Catholic colony, but also become Anglican. Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island were originally Puritan. Pennsylvania and Delaware were settled by Quakers but welcomed people of all religions. New York and New Jersey also welcomed people of varying religions.
