what obstacles do they use for yearling trail at hand in 4-H?
im doing the 4-H show w/ my yearling this weekend i wanted to know what sort of stuff to prepare her for thanks

haha perfect question for me!
I am a SR. in 4-h and i showed my yearling just a month ago in trail at hand.
we had to longe walk 1 circle, jog, lope, halt and back up on longe line
then we had to back through pilons and stop and pick up all 4 feet
then walk across tarp
then load in trailer
you must have a young horse project book? or record book it lists all the things a 1st year should be able to do i believe its longe, load, pick up feet, lead, back up, tie....basics like that so anything on that list could be on your trail pattern
