I don't know, I don't remember. But I had a near-death experience, and I do remember that! I know it is so very peaceful. I surely have no fear of death, now! :)

What you feel when you die, depends on if you chose a good life (Light) or bad (dark)... If you are a Christian, Hypotheticly speaking and you have not confessed and asked for forgiveness you will suffer before you die for everything you've not dealt with repented from. If you are right with God it is either quick and painless or if you have talked to God about it and want to get your life in order first, he'll give you that time and you will be more comfortable... You can give up the ghost whenever you choose. We all have free will here. That came from us eating that darn fruit. We are fallen beings. What free will is, you know good and evil and you have free will to choose either. If you choose God (good, Light) and also Choose Jesus as the last blood sacrifies for sin, you can confess and repent your sins and death won't be hard on you. We are here to pass tests, but if you don't pass, you will continually go through the same test afer test all your life until you learn it and pass. Then you go on to learn the next test. God wants you to be the best you can be. That will depend on which leval of heaven you go to. I have been there but that is a long story. But there "is" life after death. The process of death itself is all a Christian has to fear. That is the scary part since it can hurt a lot. The place between this world and the next is scary but once over there is no pain, sadness, nothing but unconditional love and acceptance. It is kind of like fainting. You feel like you are dying and won't come back when you faint. I hope I have helped you and not offended you. I do beleave there are other ways to get to heaven, but the road is narrow if you choose to take that route.

I've watched a lot of people exit this world as a paramedic. I can say with a lot of certainty that how it feels to die is based on two things; how it happens and how prepared you are. Some people die slowly over many minutes, hours, days, and years. The way you die can be excruciating and other times it may be the most peaceful experience. After reviving patients they often remark about how peaceful it was and the vivid colors they experienced. I also noted that if someone is prepared to die they seem to be more peaceful and content when it occurs meaning that they don't experience anything terrible. But, if you haven't prepared yourself than death is truly terrifying and painful. The choice is up to the person. Hope that helps answer the unknown.

I died once, and did come back, after 8 minutes. It felt like a headrush downwards, flushed, and started seeing black and white spots and boom, fainted. I heard voices, muffled, and saw swirly clouds then pure black. I had no pain.

Come off it Lisa, there are no ghosts in this world or next. Don't worry, you will not turn in to a ghost when you die. As regards dying, it is not possible to say how does it feel to die. I imagine death to be a long dreamless sleep, a sleep from which you never wake up.

i had a dream about it once. I had gotten shot and had a feeling of total peace like nothing mattered anymore, then my vision faded and i saw a bunch of colorful swirls. I dont remeber what happened afterward.

I certainly think there is a feeling during the process of "dying", but i don't think we feel death. Death is the end of existence, and ghosts do not exist. If there were such entities then out of what substance are they made of?, from where do they emerge?, where in the body do they reside before leaving it?, how do they enter and leave the body?, etc...etc...
