The CHI breaks easily and has a very limited warranty. Try the Sedu. That is what I use and my hair is nothing but thick curls.....

I can take it from this

In less than an hour (which is amazingly fast for me). Plus i can keep it straight for 2-3 days with minimal touchups! It is silky smooth and actually feels healthier than before with no frying! (And I use it on 410 degrees F) It is great in humidity too. I blow dry my hair, smooth on some heat protectant (CHI Infra Treatment Thermal Protective) and straighten. It costs $115 with free shipping and a free flat iron heatproof holder! (It's totally worth the price!)

A Solia, Chi or (my personal favorite) a Visage.

They all work amazingly great. Don't get it from a department store. That'll seriously cost you AT LEAST a $100. I got mine off eBay. Just make sure you check the sellers feedback and that it's positive and it is a packaged and unused straightener. You can probably snag one of these for about $30-$60.

    Hope this helps!

I heard Nicky Clarke has some good ones too. But before you buy any straightener, check if it has ceramic plates and heat regulation. Then you know that they are good. The plates spread the heat evenly, so it goes quicker. The heat regulation is important, you can put it a bit less hot so your hair is less damaged. If you really want your hair to be damaged as little as possible get one of those.

I hear tons about Chi and Sedu, and how great they are. Could never afford to get one myself though. I use a Curlmaster that has ceramic plates that I got at Sally's. Worked great for me, when I used to straighten my hair all the time (before I got a Japanese Thermal Straightening).

go with the kiyoseki. My hair is curly and really frizzy and the kiyoseki fixed that up for me. When my hair is straight it looks really shiny and it feels really soft but you still have to use hair products to protect it.

i use a straightener everyday too.

i just love how it turns out.

i have the hairstyler one from a mall.

lol but i always drop mine and it works but not the same as before.i would like to get a new one but i bought it for 100 dollars.my mom wont buy it for me.buy one with an adjustable heat section.so u dont burn your hair.i would also get one that is small and skinny so u can get parts of your hair better.and you can also curl your hair with the straightener.even flip it in or out.hope i helped.

i haven't tried the kiyoseki but it sounds promising. I'd really like to try it myself but i'm not sure of its real price.

    GHD!!!!

They make your hair smell like fruit and you can do ringlets with them, too. And they turn off if left on too long. And all the salons where I live use them.

I use a Vidal Sassoon. After using it everyday for months I got lots of split ends. It turns off if left on too long and can be charged so you can use it around the house. But it makes your hair smell burnt and gross.

The chee is supposed to be the best straightener out there.

    It works amazing.

Its a little pricy. You can find it at any store.

And you should proboly buy heat protecter spray so your hair wont fry up.

It will be under the "salon hair care products"

Source(s): ME I LOVE IT. My friend has it and her hair is the curliest in the world and it takes her 10 min. to straighten her hair so its like COMPLETELY straight.
