Is Verizon's LG Dare a GSM phone?

I had to switch from AT&T to Verizon for their North American plan and bough the LG Dare phone. It was pitched as an "iClone" - or better - but I'm likewarm on it.

I want to buy an unlocked iPhone, but don't know if Verizon's system will support it.

Sorry if this question's been asked a lot, but I couldn't find a definitive answer anywhere. Thanks for your help...

Verizon instantaneous (and the telephones) is in noway properly matched with T-cellular. Verizon instantaneous makes use of a technologies noted as CDMA which does no longer use SIM taking part in cards. T-cellular makes use of GSM which does use SIM taking part in cards. CDMA is a greater sturdy and greater appropriate technologies. CDMA telephones do no longer "unencumber". in case you reside with T-cellular you should take a telephone from the two AT&T or T-cellular (and another resellers). vendors that use CDMA incorporate: Verizon instantaneous, sprint desktops, Alltel (now owned by using Verizon), Metro desktops, CriKet, US cellular, RCC, and greater! vendors that use GSM incorporate: AT&T and T-cellular. in case you pick to bypass to my Yahoo! 360 internet site, I wrote a weblog concerning the different forms of technologies which would be very effective.
