Do we tell our friend we tink theres something going on?

We have two friends who are married and have two small children. We are good friends with both of them. However, over the last year or so, an emplyee of thiers (they run thier own business) has been getting closer to him and kind of instilling herself in thier lives. She has started doing his hobbies, putting thier baby to bed and playing hostess when wifey is away. They are now so close it has gotten to the point it feels like the wife is the third person in the marraige.... Do we tell her we think he is having an affair with the empoyee? (its at least an emotional affair)

No. The wife is quite able to see for herself...and if she doesn't seem to be bothered by it neither should you. Also, you should really think before discussing your opinions with anyone else that knows the couple or if rumours do start sit back with your opinion...it can only come back to bite you if you dont. You sound like a really nice and caring friend but your opinion and thoughts should remain with you and just be there for your friend when and if needed.

No, it's not your business, I think she'll work that out for herself. If you go ahead and tell her your suspicions and there is nothing going on,then you'll end up with a ex-friend instead of a good friend. You must remember that a lot of employers try to curry favour from their boss by acting as if their boss is the be all and end all, but it can be all an act and normally the boss just sucks it up anyway! but they do know what their employer is up to! Have a great day.

I would casually mention to the husband how amusing it is that his employee seems to be taking over his life and how terrible his wife might feel. Or go directly to the employee and ask her what the hell she thinks she's doing

You most certainly do not. You have suspicion and circumstantial evidence at best...not a compelling reason to dabble into someone's marriage. You could do more harm than good.

You mean, convey your opinion and disapproval to them? You can if you think it's beneficial to their marriage, but it's going to look meddling and interfering, and they'll probably resent it.
