Hmm....well the first artists I really listened to were Nirvana, Eminem and Guns 'N' Roses and that was when I was about 14 or 15. I also listened to stuff like Sum 41 and Blink 182 and some terrible rap (like 50 Cent lol) which I grew out of after a year or two. I started getting more into alternative rock and punk around 16 when I started to listening to the Pixies, Sex Pistols and Sonic Youth. I think my taste in hip hop got better too as I got into Public Enemy, Nas and De La Soul. From then on I've basically been trying out new genres and just further exploring the genres that I was already familiar with. The last big change I made was getting into jazz about two years. I began listening to Miles Davis and John Coltrane and quickly got interested in it. I don't know what else to say. I don't think I'd consider myself to be an elitist but I do refuse to watch or listen to anyone that goes on shows like American Idol/X Factor.

I don't know if this counts, but Lennon and McCartney are my choice for "Musical Duo".
As far as a trio is concerned, that's tough!
I'm a Texas Boy, so I gotta give props to ZZ Top.
But on the other hand there is Cream, Rush, Nirvana, James Gang, Jimi Hendrix Experience, and Triumph that are all great as well.

Page 'n Plant, cuz THEY kept their magic
while being backed by the rhythm section
of Michael Lee and Charlie Jones.
See, even Jagger 'n Richards NEED Charlie Watts
for them to have what once was--biiiig difference, people!
This is a Major Cue that Watts is greater than most people know.
I like the work of Rod Stewart and Ron Wood together,
back when they were out to prove--successfully,
might I add--that they were second only to the Stones
in that particular configuration of Rock 'n Roll.
Trio: Hmm...Rush is great. ZZTop are pure blues.
The Experience, as listed above, definitely too. Yeah,
I've listed a trio of duos and a few trios. Thanks!

Simon and Garfunkel - for soft rock
The Eurythmics were OK as a rock duo and I guess you can count Heart as a duo - even tho they had a backing band.
Cream was an excellent trio - Clapton, Baker and Bruce
