Computer fan problem!?

My computer fan seems to come on for about 30 seconds, every two minutes while I'm playing a game. This isn't the actual fan, it seems like another that kicks in.

My cpu is a HP, 3ghx Proc, 1gb RAM, and my graphics is a 512mb ATI x1650. This is the third card I've fitted but the problem has existed since purchase.

The cpu doesn't crash or overheat, and the problem doesn't occur while using the cpu without gaming. Is there a way I can turn this off, or reduce the amount of times it kicks in? Is it a problem?

Thanks for your help!

Just let them run. If it bothers you because of the noise, then you can always purchase silent fans. They cost a few extra bucks, but they are worth it. Other wise, just let them do their work. They turn on when it gets hot, and then they turn off to save power.

You have 3 fans on the PC. CPU, Power Supply and graphics. If any of them are kicking into high gear, then you need to let the run, otherwise your system will overheat.

needed confident; it rather is drawing air in on a similar time as the different case fan (you will possibly desire to have a minimum of one the comparable length by using fact the intake fan) strikes the warmth away. verify it with the case open and notice if there are any obstructions like wires or case areas inflicting the noise. Order a sparkling one in case you could no longer discover the source of the noise. degree the physique of it with a ruler then convert inches to millimeters on Google and order that length and confirm you get the comparable style plug.

I would install 2 case fans, to cool the inside so your other fan doesn't kick in that often. One in the front blowing IN and one in the back blowing OUT.
