Where can I buy etching stones? You know, stones that can let me etch on glass?

I've been looking all over but can't find, I would like to buy etching stones; etching stones which I can hold and etch/carve/scratch designs into glass/plastic surfaces.

Is there an online store that sells these stones?

I am unable to find..

Thanks!

You can use any abrasive stone like those sold for sharpening tools or pencil shaped ones for scribing. You should be able to find choices at any hardware store or home center. Or you can go out and look for pieces of rock with varying characteristics, hit them with a hammer on a hard surface (wear eye protection) if you want sharp corners.

I have used Dremel and some of their tungsten carbide bits, and even diamond tipped ones.

I guess you could go find some diamonds, since they are about the only thing strong enough to etch glass, but there may be others.
