I drive an LS and a GS and use regular fuel in both (the GS450h has the same V6 as the ES). I have no problems with either car. Modern engines and computers pretty much take care of any preignitiion (knock). Don't waste your money on premium fuel; I doubt that without sophisticated test equipment you would ever be able to notice a difference in fuel economy or performance. Others swear that you can. I am a non believer.

Yes the Lexus takes premium and if you don't use the premium you will lose performance. The engine has a higher compression ratio and therefore needs a fuel that burns a bit hotter than regular that's why it needs premium. Especially if you are going to purchase it and not lease it then premium would be best for the health of the engine. Good Luck.

nicely, that's because of the fact they actually are not an identical automobile. different trim, different engines. listed below are some issues to contemplate: The Lexus calls for top rate gas in its V-6 for optimum overall performance mutually as the Camry’s V-6 recommends widespread gas. gas mileage is rated by skill of the EPA at 19/27 mpg city/highway for the Lexus, which in basic terms comes with a V-6. The Camry XLE V-6 is nineteen/28 mpg mutually as the 4-cylinder XLE Camry is rated at 22/32 mpg.

the computer in the vehicle will process any type of gas except diesel. Although there will be a slight decrease in performance it will still run on it. I have a es330 and i used to use premium but i stopped because i couldn't even notice the difference in performances. go with the cheapest gas. your 40 thousand dollar car is designed to handle it.

you can use premium or regular BUT the dealer and the owner's manual explicitly suggests you only put Supreme 92 or better. The engine's supposed to be affected in the longrun, but it's up to you. I always put in supreme no matter what. Love my RX. :)

no. she will drink premium. I suggest you keep it that way just for the health of the engine. They say it wont effect it but I dont take chances. Nice car by the way.
