Looking for a new career?

I currently am looking for a new career. For the last five years I've worked for a automobile dealership as a technician. I'm only 26 so this has been my only "real" job I've had.

Problem is I have no idea where to even search. I have a Associates Degree in Applied Science which I assume is useless.

Give me some ideas of what I can do, where I can make around the same kind of money I pull in now. Last year I cleared 45k.

    Why don't you get a bachelor's and become an engineer. Your credentials are awesome, you have some college and good work experience. Your still young finish school. BTW you should be making more dough. Look into the trades; Steam fitters make 60 bucks an hour for example, and get crazy overtime....goodluck

    An automobile technician, with an Associates Degree, who earned 45K last year:

    * how about taking some nigh classes at the Community College in Business Administration;

    then say 2 - 4 years from now, together with another mechanic, start your own repair shop?

    * how about a Smog Check business 2 - 3 years from now?

    What are your pursuits? Have you performed any regional task searches to investigate what is possible on your field? Have you long gone online to quite a lot of profession websites to assess out present task possibilities and salaries? Have you checked with regional task carrier companies? You look to be type of impartial at the entire quandary and that makes it tough to provide fair strategies. Do you will have any events that would be priceless in a brand new profession? What did not you favor approximately purchaser carrier that is making you wish to go away? How is the task marketplace on your vicinity & is this sort of transfer quite shrewd at the moment? Was there any emphasis on your Associates measure that you'll be able to construct on in your profession seek? Does your school have a task placement or profession counseling workplace that you'll be able to use? I believe you must check out a few severe self-evaluation and notice if you'll be able to determine precisely in which you wish this to move. Maybe write out what you wish in a profession, what you do not wish, record jobs that sound exciting, record the ones that do not after which see if a sample develops. Good Luck!

    I am in college going to be a Radiology Technician. All you need is an associates of applied science degree! Talk to a local hospital or a local college and see if there is any more to it then that. GOOD LUCK! :D

    An A.S. is not useless by any means! A lot of jobs that require a B.S. will take someone with an A.S. as long as they're enrolled in school for their B.S. Heck, they might even reimburse you for the last two years of schooling.
