There are ants everywhere in my apartment! I dont want to live here anymore. Can I cancel lease?
There are ants all over the apt when there's no food around. (even bedroom!)
Plus, the apt is always landscaping outside my window in the mornings so I never get any sleep. And the electronic keys that are used to keep non-residents out don't even work anymore. (Not to mention the staff is completely terrible)
I pay about $1000/mo for this one bedroom apt so it's really frustrating when stuff like this happens. I would love to just move out and find another place. However, I have about 6 months left on the lease. But are these reasons enough for me to be able to cancel my lease w/o any penalties?
(Sorry for the all the details but I need to VENT! Haha, thanks for reading.)
Also, since the electronic keys don't work, it prevents me from gaining access to certain amenities like the gym.

You can demand they spray the ants, but they are not a violation of the lease.
Ask them what they want to let you out early, they usually will agree. 2 months rent is the norm.

Get some ant traps. Nothing you described will force the apartment to give up the lease. Of course, you always could ask...
